Author Aidan Donnelley Rowley writes about a recent evening with friends which culminated in a conversation about spouses who cheat. One of the husbands said he believes men will eventually cheat, regardless of the quality of their relationship or the love they have for their partner. He also said women shouldn’t be surprised by this or expect anything different. Rowley write that she feels confident in her marriage, but that this statement “opened my eyes to a potential and no doubt depressing reality.” She chooses to call it a “theory” but is curious about the experience and beliefs of others.
