Study shows that infidelity is not leading cause of divorce

A recently published study by Co-operative Legal Services, a U.K.-based company, shows that infidelity does not necessarily lead to divorce. In 5 million divorce cases since the 1970’s, couples are half as likely to list infidelity as the reason for ending their marriage. The leading cause of divorce is listed as unreasonable behavior, up 19% since the 70’s.

Cheating does not have to mean the end of your relationship. For many couples, in fact, it is possible to recover from infidelity and have a happy marriage.
