Take time for yourself away from everyone, and make it a priority. Just a few hours of “alone time” can make a difference. Encourage your little ones to hug their favorite toys, the way you hug them. Play a game like “gentle touch,” using just the index finger to connect. For your spouse, make regular “intimacy dates,” which are times for emotional as well as sexual connection. This is not the time to discuss problems, but to reconnect.
