My thoughts following the Boston marathon tragedy

All of us are feeling traumatized by the awful tragedies at the marathon in Boston on Monday.   And yet the incredible and inspiring compassion for the victims and for the city of Boston gives me hope.  The first responders, the firefighters, police, and every runner and fan who stopped to help, and those who opened their homes and their hearts, or sang the National Anthem at the game in Boston last night, all teach us one thing – we will not let terror destroy our humanity.  In fact, we will all pull together and, as much as we can, in the ways we can, be there to help.
