Millennials are changing what it means to be in a relationship

For anyone familiar with my book The New Monogamy, you’ll know that the definition of monogamy isn’t as rigid as our culture leads us to believe. After generations of increasing rates of divorce and infidelity, some of the latest generations of adults, millennials, are conducting their relationships differently. They’re following in their baby boomer parents’ foot steps and revolutionizing sex and relationships all over again. RollingStone recently published a great look into the lives of a few millennials and Generation X’ers who are shrugging off the idea of traditional marriage.

The most interesting piece of their article is the statistics around sexual behavior with these younger generations. While they are shrugging off monogamous, marriage-focus relationships, they have also waited until later in life to start having sex, have less sex overall and increased condom use.
