Kinky people are mentally healthier than others

Kinky people have better mental health than everyone else

Researchers in this study evaluated BDSM practitioners and “vanilla” people on personality, sensitivity to rejection, style of attachment in relationships and well-being. The results show that people who practice BDSM are more extroverted, open to new experiences and more conscientious than “vanilla” lovers. BDSM practitioners are less neurotic and less anxious as well. People who are into BDSM also score lower than the general public on rejection sensitivity; they dont worry as much about people liking them or disliking them.

The researchers aren’t sure why this correlation exists, what are your thoughts? I want to know what you think. (No pictures, please!).
