Teleclass Overview: Dr. Tammy Nelson and Dr. Marty Klein, internationally-recognized sex therapists and authors, will explore the top sexual concerns encountered in couples therapy, and present strategies and techniques to help resolve these challenging cases.
Session 1—Secrets — Our own and our patients’; stereotypes about men, women, sex & intimacy; resistance, privacy, transparency
Session 2—Desire — Initiation, religious values, kinky sex, when non-sexual conflict prevents sex, value conflicts in and out of bed
Session 3—Honesty – Our own and our patients’, telling the truth and envy, self-disclosure, countertransference, tradition, lack of information, the influence of personal values, judgment, etc.
About Dr. Tammy Nelson: Dr. Nelson is a sex and relationship expert, an international speaker, an author and a licensed psychotherapist with over 25 years of experience working with individuals and couples, is in private practice and teaches seminars and workshops around the world for couples and professionals. She is a Board Certified Sexologist, a Certified Sex Therapist, a Licensed Professional Counselor, and a Certified Imago Relationship therapist. She is an invited speaker at Harvard Medical School, Department of Psychiatry, Cambridge Health Alliance Physicians Organization and at the University of California, Irvine. She speaks worldwide on global relational change.
