This class will introduce you to Asexuality and Aromanticisim and will take you through a multi-faceted look at how these orientations are experienced and what common missteps to avoid as a provider. We will then explore ways to support Asexual and Aromantic people in finding a fulfilling life that aligns with their needs and boundaries through differentiated attractions, intimacies, and self-love.

Mar 25 (Fri) 2 pm – 6 pm Healthy Sexuality Over a Lifetime: What We Can Learn From the Formative and Golden Years – Remi Newman, MA

We are sexual beings from birth until death. This phrase is often recited by sex educators who are attempting to capture the enormity of what it means to be a sexual human being. But what does it really mean? What in particular is happening in the early and later years of life that defines one’s sexuality? We will explore these fascinating and critical epochs. Childhood is characterized by newness and discovery and old age by wisdom and maturity. These unique viewpoints offer learnings that sex therapists, educators and counselors can use to help people of all ages with sexuality challenges and concerns.
