Memory-foam mattresses are becoming more and more popular, with a 20% market share in the last eight years, because they provide a plush and comfortable night’s sleep. What more could you want? Well, your love life’s important, too. According to a plush mattress owner posting on an Internet message board, sex on one of these mattresses is “like trying to do it in quicksand.” Sex therapist Sari Eckler is quoted in a recent Barron’s report as saying, “…whoever is on the bottom is sinking into the bed,” which leads to a question of priorities: good sleep or good sex?
